For the firs time this season, the Pirates won two games in a row. Matanzas (3-6) pounded Englewood 51-0 the night of Friday, Oct. 26, at Matanzas High School for the Pirates' largest margin of victory since Sept. 17, 2010, against Oakleaf.
Senior running back Skyelar Williams-Michaud scored the first of his five touchdowns from 3 yards out to give Matanzas the early 7-0 lead. Williams-Michaud scored his third touchdown with 8:57 to play in the first half and his fourth touchdown, a 36-yard rush, with under a minute to play in the half.
The Pirates scored two touchdowns in the third quarter: another rushing score from Williams-Michaud and a 25-yard fumble return by Jeremy Mejias.
