Ty Pennington gives a helping hand to Habitat for Humanity

Flagler County’s Habitat for Humanity finished renovating its 94th house located in Palm Coast’s “R” section, with the help of American television host Ty Pennington on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Flagler County’s Habitat for Humanity provided its 94th home to Palm Coast beneficiary Shanokwa Shellman. Shellman’s new home is located in Palm Coast’s “R” section. Many renovations were made to the home, courtesy of Habitat for Humanity, including a new fence, tile flooring, a fresh coat of paint and new windows. New appliances such as a stove and refrigerator were donated by Whirlpool Appliances.

“Building these homes brings communities together and it really makes a difference in many people’s lives,” Ty Pennington said. “What I found interesting, through my experiences as the host for ‘Extreme Home Makeover,’ was that each town we visited to rebuild a house, the experience would instigate more homes to be rebuilt within the community.”
