The parade was held on the cold night of Saturday, Dec. 9.
The Starlight Parade lit up Town Center's streets on Saturday, Dec. 9. Eighty-seven units, including floats and marchers representing everything from local businesses to city officials to schools and clubs, walked in the parade to bring holiday cheer despite the shiver from the cold front this weekend.
The parade route began near the roundabout on Central Avenue and headed east, turning north onto Park Street, east onto Lake Avenue and south onto City Place. It then continued south of Bulldog Drive. The commentators for the Starlight Parade were Palm Coast Fire Chief Michael C. Beadle and his wife, DeeDee Beadle.
This year’s Grand Marshals leading the parade were Silver Star Medal recipient 1st Lt. Ray Parker, U.S. Army (Ret.), and his wife, Dr. Claudia Parker, Commander of the DAV Auxiliary Unit 86, Flagler County.
