Pirates rout Pine Ridge on the road

Matanzas' Skyelar Williams-Michaud scored multiple touchdowns and the Pirates defense had a huge night to lead the Pirates to a win at Pine Ridge.

The Pirates (3-5, 2-2) routed the Panthers 42-0 on the night of Friday, Oct. 19, at Pine Ridge High School. It was the first time this season that the Pirates' defense held an opponent scoreless. They previously held Seabreeze to 7 points in their first victory of the season on Sept. 14, and they also gave up 5 points in a win over Nease on Sept. 28.

The Pirates' defense is giving up 22.4 points per game in 2018.

Team captain and senior Branden Gilyard and Darrion Session also scored in Matanzas' win over the Panthers.
