Chase Smith's shot barely misses the goal.
After just three minutes, Flagler Palm Coast (0-5) was trying to climb out of a 3-0 hole from Matanzas (3-1). That hole would eventually grow large enough to keep the clock running until the final whistle, where the Pirates won 15-0 Friday, Feb. 19, at FPC.
Gunner Parson and James Mayer each had two goals and two assists, and Paul Pechman and Jericho Pedron also had two goals, Pedron an assist. Storm and Max Schalit, Jake Cohill, Cole Sanford, Joey Jackson, Andrew McIntyre and Colten Buxman all had a goal. John Sitarik had eight saves in goal.
Matt Trecki had 14 saves for FPC.
