Philippine American Association of Palm Coast President Winda Almazan read a history of the Philippines, the Philippine national anthem was sung, and the Philippine flag was hoisted by Tony Almazan and Sonny Chacon at Palm Coast City Hall on June 12, in honor the 122nd anniversary of Philippine Independence Day..
Mayor Millard Holland also delivered a speech, and three new officers were sworn in: Lolita Uy as vice president, Sally Siroy and Editha Chacon as new members of the Board of Directors.
Patriotic songs were then sung, and Vice Mayor Nick Klufas delivered closing remarks. It was an annual celebration, typically followed by a dinner and dance, but the event was canceled out of caution due to COVID-19.
