Palm Coast Little League closes chapter on 18th season
Kids, families and volunteers gathered at the Indian Trails Sports Complex to celebrate the end of the season for the Palm Coast Little League — the largest official little league in the Northeast Coast district — on Saturday, June 2.
Over 600 kids, 400 families and 43 teams participated in the league's 18th season.
"It was time to take a break," Johnan said. "It's a lot of work. It's a full-time job. But I've had nothing but fun out here."
The kids were given small bats to commemorate the season, and the champions of each division received trophies.
In addition, Johnan said he was pleased with how the season unfolded.
"It was so great to see that the season went so well," he said. "Everybody was so happy. There were no arguments this year. It was just a pleasant time to be out here. It's great that the community comes out here. ... It's getting the whole community involved. That's what it's about."
