Flagler's Trump Dinner draws a crowd of 130, including DeSantis and Costello
The Flagler Trump Club on Saturday, July 21, held its first Trump Day Dinner at the Columbian Club of Flagler. The Flagler Trump Club is one of 26 Trump Clubs organized in Florida to support President Donald Trump. It is the first club to run a Trump Day Dinner, according to club organizers.
Over 130 people attended the event, which was emceed by Tony Ledbetter, vice chair of the Republican Executive Committee Chairs of Florida. Speakers for the evening included Sherrie McKnight, state committeewoman and chair of the Trump Voter Engagement Committee; and Mike McCalister, candidate Florida Commissioner of Agriculture. The keynote speaker was U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, candidate for Florida governor.
Also in attendance were Fred Costello, candidate U.S. House District 6; Joe Mullins, candidate for Flagler County Commission District 4; Greg Hansen, chairman of the Flagler County Commission; Maria Barbosa, Flagler County School Board member; Janet McDonald, Flagler County School Board member. Gold Star Mother Susan Price, whose son, Gunnery Sgt. Aaron Michael Kenefick, died in battle in 2009, was honored during the event.
