Matanzas scored 28 points in under 13 minutes to complete the comeback.
Matanzas' football team came up shy of earning its first win of the season in its Week 2 matchup against Seabreeze.
The Pirates were set the face 0-2 Middleburg on Sept. 6. However, the threat of Hurricane Dorian forced the two schools to postpone the contest until the night of Thursday, Sept. 12.
The Pirates were down 17 on the road, facing possibly their third straight loss to open up the season. The Pirates battled back, scoring 28 points in 12 minutes, 52 seconds to defeat the Broncos 35-30 at Middleburg High School.
It was the Pirates' first win of the season and their first since Oct. 26, 2018.
Up next, Matanzas (1-2) faces Atlantic at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Matanzas High School.
