SEAS celebrates science
If you recently saw the boy down the street launching bottles filled with baking soda and vinegar, there's no need to worry. He was just working on his science fair experiment. Fifth- through eighth-graders at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School just finished a 13-week science fair unit. 'All the children really look forward to it,' Principal Vincent Saladino said. For the first time in school history, the eight judges were unable to break a tie, declaring two first-place winners in fifth grade: Natalie Alvarez and Breanna Barron. Sixth grade winners: Alyson Intihar, first place; Matthew Nicholson, second; and Antonio Kes, third. Seventh grade: Jake Cohill, first; Rory Martin, second; and Mayoree Tan, third. Eighth grade: Ashley Intihar, first; Denis Dineen, second; and Ben Qunones, third.
