Hundreds of Flagler County teachers line Belle Terre Parkway Tuesday, March 8, to raise awareness for students at the local Awake the State rally.
Awake the State is a statewide rally for Floridians to express their oppositions to budget cuts.
Second-grade students at Belle Terre Elementary School researched a historical person or monument in America. As part of their projects, they dressed up to represent their chosen person and made a presentation to museum visitors.

The 3,000-acre brush fire that was burning just north of Flagler County, in St. Johns County, caused numerous road closures throughout the day Monday and into Tuesday morning. Here are some pictures of the scene around 5 p.m. Monday.
