Bananas Foster, goat cheese and pesto bruschetta and black-bean stuffed shrimp were just a few of the dishes served Monday, April 25, at the Taste of Flagler, presented by the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates.
The judges at Taste of Flagler were chefs David Bearl, of First Coast Technical Institute, in St. Johns County; Erik Amalfitano, of Flip Flops Grill and Chill, in New Smyrna Beach; and Danny Veltri, owner of Back From Hell Catering. Flagler Schools Superintendent Janet Valentine took a flight around the county with Teens-In-Flight President/CEO Col. Jack D. Howell. Teens-In-Flight provides flight training and aviation maintenance scholarships to teens who have lost a parent in the Global War on Terrorism or, is the teen of a parent who was wounded in action and is disabled.
