A place for all, regardless of political party
The newly formed Flagler Tiger Bay Club board of directors will host the club’s inaugural event, a wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres pairing evening, at the Palm Coast Community Center at 6 p.m. on August 23.
Flagler Tiger Bay Club formed last month and is a nonpartisan club that caters to a diverse group of members, according to a news release. Members have an interest in politics, things that affect politics, civic and other current event issues. Members have common bonds in civility, respectful and frank dialog and discussion, and commitment to making their community and lives better through differing points of view, knowledge and information sharing. As a nonpartisan organization, Flagler Tiger Bay Club does not endorse candidates or take sides on issues.
The club ensures the stability of its nonpartisanship organization through a board of directors made up equally of democrats, republicans and non-party affiliates. Therefore, no one party has control of executive leadership or the board. The Flagler Tiger Bay board of directors includes: John Birney, John Brady, Cindy Dalecki, Greg Davis, Frank DeAngelo, Rebecca DeLorenzo, Ed Fuller, Awilda Hamilton, Howard Holley, Mark Langello, Don Madden, Cheri D. Orr, Jake Scully, Lea Stokes, Helga van Eckert and Gary Walsh.

Food Brings Hope recently received boxes of supplies from a school supply drive conducted by Bank of America, according to a news release. Senior Vice President and Marketing Manager Karen Jacobs and Market President Support Maritza Armijo delivered the needed supplies to benefit the children in the FBH KidsZone and TeenZone programs, including Wadsworth and Bunnell Elementary schools.

Hop off the couch and join Palm Coast Parks and Recreation for the Couch to 5K Challenge, sponsored by Florida Hospital Flagler.
The Couch to 5K Challenge is a group training and exercising program that does not require any running experience. Participants will be running through the trails to train for the Pink Army 5K on Sunday, Oct. 14.
The challenge will be at 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Aug. 21 to Oct. 11, starting at the Palm Coast Community Center Trail Head, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE. Wear running shoes, and dress to be outside.
