One person was significantly injured after a fire occurred at a home in Palm Coast's F Section on Feb. 29.

The injured person was transported to a trauma center as a trauma alert for burn injuries, a Palm Coast Fire Department Facebook post said. The fire began in and was contained to the garage, though the rest of the home has sustained smoke and heat damage.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, the post said.

Eight people were in the home when the fire began around 11:42 p.m., though no one else was injured. The PCFD and Flagler County Fire Rescue responded to the scene and were able to contain and extinguish the flames.

PCFD Engines 22 and 22, Tower 24, Battalion 24 and Fire Police and FCFR's  Rescue 21 and Engine 41 all responded to call.

This is a developing story.
