FCSO recognizes three Flagler Students with November 2023 Great Kids Award

Leila Worley from Old Kings Elementary School, Isabella Blair from Indian Trails Middle School and Ehimen Ajede from Flagler Palm Coast High School were each recognized by the FCSO.

Three students who attend Flagler Schools received Sheriff Rick Staly’s Great Kids Award for November 2023.

The awards were presented to the students and their families by Chief David Williams, Commander Jennifer Nawrocki, and the students’ School Resource Deputy in January, a FCSO press release said. The monthly award is given to students who respect their peers, help others, work hard in academics, and represent themselves and their school in a positive manner..

For the November award, Leila Worley from Old Kings Elementary School, Isabella Blair from Indian Trails Middle School and Ehimen Ajede from Flagler Palm Coast High School were each nominated by their school's resource deputy and school employees, the press release said.

“I created the Great Kids Awards so we can recognize and honor the kids who make the right decisions and set a good example for their fellow students,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “These three students are excellent examples of what it means to be leaders in the classroom, and they are very deserving of this award.”

Worley was nominated by her school resource deputy for her positive attitude. She is eager to participate and learn and likes to find creative ways to show her abilities. She is a "hardworking, respectful and caring student," the press release said.

Blair, a student at ITMS, was recognized as an "exceptional, caring and respectful student" who exemplifies integrity and always does the right thing, the press release said. She sets an example for her peers.

Ajede is a leader among his teammates, coaches and the FPC administration. His school's resource deputy and school employees said Ajede sets the standard for his fellow students to follow and encourages others to do their best. His actions portray what it is to be a Great Kid, the press release said.
