Ormond Beach resident is Little Miss North Florida 2024

An Ormond Beach girl won the Little Miss North Florida title at the Feb. 17 pageant in Marianna. 

Gianna Capri, 10, was representing Volusia County in the pageant as Little Miss Volusia County, according to a press release. Gianna plans on using this year to continue helping those who live with in her community while honoring her

uncle’s legacy through her initiative, Michael's Ohana, created in memory of her uncle who died from a degenerative neurological disease in 2021. Giana said she looks forward to getting her sister queens from Miss North Florida involved with Michael’s ‘Ohana and expand her platform across the Sunshine State.

In addition to her efforts with Michael's Ohana, Gianna tumbles at Flight Gymnastics in Ormond Beach and dances at Mia Bella Academy of Dance in Palm Coast. The press release states she is also known for her impressions, some of her favorite being Kermit the Frog and Shakira.

The Miss North Florida Scholarship Organization, established in 2021, aims to provide a positive outlet for the young women of North Florida to build connections and acquire the skills to shape them into leaders. To date the Miss North Florida scholarship has awarded over $20,000 in cash scholarships.
