Garden Club at Palm Coast’s garden of the month

Landscape features roses, bromeliad, cactus, and a few intrepid turtles.

Patsy and Linwood Farmer of Carlson Lane were recognized as the September yard selection of the month by the Garden Club at Palm Coast.

The couple retired to Palm Coast 27 years ago from Maryland. Patsy Farmer is a master gardener and has volunteered at the Flagler Extension office for 13 years. She does most of the gardening and her hubby, Linwood Farmer does the rest. He does lay claim to a garden spot that includes a flag pole that she is not allowed to touch.

The landscape includes a variety of turtle ornaments. Each garden area is enclosed with a white chain. There are several varieties of roses a large blue flowering plumbago, several red leaf Hibiscus, red tip bromeliads, a red and yellow flowering cactus garden that includes a white orchid cactus. They have many Burford Holly bushes, colorful vincas and lantanas surrounding the property. There are several types of palm trees and three very large oak trees on the property.
