Flagler Technical Institute held its graduation for 181 students June 15, at the Flagler Auditorium.

This year’s guest speaker was Sheriff Jim Manfre. “It’s not so important the labels that others ascribe to us; what’s really important is what we ascribe to ourselves," he said. “Because those are the keys to success.”

Manfre had the graduates reflect on one word that describes them. He encouraged the graduates to always think of that word and keep it with them when things are going well and when things are going poorly.

“Because sometimes success is equally as difficult as failure, but you can build on each one of them,” Manfre said.
