The event at Destination Daytona benefited Camp Boggy Creek
A free Country Music Festival entertained crowds at the Coca-Cola Pavilion at Destination Daytona on Sept. 26 and 27, while families enjoyed a carnival in the parking lot. Kix Country, 98.7 FM, sponsored the event along with Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona.
A torrential rain kept the crowd smaller than expected Friday night, but Mandy Rossmeyer Campbell, of Destination Daytona, said the people who were there had a good time.
“We’re glad we have a roof,” she said.
Donations were accepted at the event for Camp Boggy Creek, a camp in Eustis for children with serious illnesses. The 20th annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride For Children, which also benefits the camp, is set for Oct. 5.
