Palm Coast’s Hammock Wine and Cheese Shoppe has teamed up with Painting with a Twist, of St. Augustine, to offer Wednesday evening painting classes.

At its St. Augustine studio, Painting with a Twist encourages people to bring their favorite bottle of wine or beverage, invite friends, and enjoy step-by-step instruction with experienced and enthusiastic local artist.  The Hammock classes bring those instructors to the art gallery at the shoppe, and participants can purchase wine and other beverages on location.

The class not only lets people explore their creative side, but it also helps the shoppe showcase its artists for that month.

“Also, I think it benefits the arts in general in The Hammock,” said Derek Vidal, of Hammock Wine and Cheese. “We have a lot of artists here — that live around here and we want to show everyone we are pro artists in this area.”

The class is not only for adults, sisters Vaden Hughes, 10, and Easley Hughes, 7, joined in on the painting.
