Pet Paradise holds ‘Life is Short, Make a Splash’ campaign
Pet Paradise, a Palm Coast pet boarding and day camp company, is taking nominations for non-profits for its Life is Short, Make a Splash campaign.
Charities must be registered 501c3 nonprofits based in the Unites States, and may only be nominated by a Pet Paradise customer.
Noncustomers may support the campaign by buying a “Life is Short, Make a Splash” T-shirt or magnet at any Pet Paradise locations.
About 40 nominations have been received so far, and nominations will be accepted through May 31.
“The response has been thrilling so far, and we are looking forward to the impact that this is going to make within the community,” Pet Paradise Chief Operating Officer Fernando Acosta-Rua said in a Pet Paradise press release.
Voting will begin June 1 and continue until Aug. 31.
The nonprofit with the most votes will receive a $10,000 donation from Pet Paradise.

Palm Coast Chiropractic Center welcomes new assistant office manager
Kelli Mason has been hired as Palm Coast Chiropractic Center’s new assistant office manager.
Mason began work last month, checking in patients, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and completing other office tasks, according to a Palm Coast Chiropractic Center press release.
“What I like most about my job is the patients,” said Mason. “I also really like the people I work with,” she added.
She has been in the customer service industry for 20 years.
Palm Coast Chiropractic Center offers chiropractic care for children and adults, massage therapy, cox flexion distraction therapy, and nutrition counseling.

Palm Coast Truly Nolen franchise opens
Truly Nolen held a grand opening May 7th for a new, independently owned and operated franchise in Palm Coast.
Franchise owners and operators Dean and Tangela Eddy have woked in real estate and owned a pizzeria before Dean Eddy began working for Truly Nolen in 2012 as a technician at the Orlando branch.
But the Eddys know Palm Coast well. “This is where I would come every year for my anniversary, and to be able to live and serve in this community gives me great satisfaction,” Dean Eddy said in a Truly Nolen press release.

Silver Sneakers Program expands to Palm Coast
Personal trainer Artie Gardella has brought the Healthways SilverSneakers Fitness program to Palm Coast.
The active adult wellness program is offered free to more than 65 Medicare health plans across the country, and members receive access to more than 11,000 participating fitness centers.
“This is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity,” Gardella said.
The class, created for people 60 and over, is designed to develop flexibility, balance, coordination, done density and muscle tone, strength and endurance through a 40-minute routine of gentle, total-body conditioning exercises.
The Palm Coast classes are held at 10 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at St. Thomas Episcopal Church at 5400 Belle Terre Parkway.
