From March 9 to Nov., 2, Palm Coast residents and business owners may water lawns and shrubs twice a week: Wednesdays and Saturdays for odd-numbered residences, Thursdays and Sundays for even-numbered residences, and Tuesdays and Fridays for businesses.

People using private irrigation wells can water at any time on their designated days except between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and people using the city’s water systems may water only between midnight and 10 a.m. on their designated days, according to a city of Palm Coast news release.

Watering is limited to no more than one hour for each irrigation zone, and .75-inch of water per irrigation zone. Residents and businesses may use handheld hoses equipped with automatic shut-off nozzles and drip systems or bubblers at any time, according to the news release.

The restrictions apply to water from ground water or surface water, a public or private well or pump, or a public or private water utility. They don’t apply to irrigation using reclaimed water or storm water. Residents and businesses are not permitted to use private irrigation wells when reclaimed water is available for watering.
