An Ormond Beach family was greeted by a family of turkeys over the weekend, which broke through their screen in two different places.

An Ormond Beach family woke up to a rather strange group of visitors early Saturday morning.

John Scott said his daughter and her family were greeted by a group of turkeys on top of their pool enclosure, at their home in the Spring Meadows subdivision. One turkey was apparently to heavy for the screen and fell through.

“The turkey ran around the pool a few times trying to find a hole to escape through,” Scott said in an email, “and when it could not, it took a running start to get up speed and then flew right through the side screen, leaving of course another large hole, about two feet or so across.”

No turkeys were injured during the incident.
