The club meets the second Tuesday of each month with networking at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a program at Vince Carter's Restaurant, on LPGA Boulevard. For reservations, contact Cynthia Ramirez, at [email protected], or call 235-3680.

Center for Health and Wellness opens

Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center will host an open house 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, for its new Center for Health and Wellness, located on the first floor of the Medical Office Building, at 305 Memorial Medical Parkway. A free nutrition seminar and tips for preventing diabetes and heart disease are planned.

Cardiac rehabilitation and diabetes education, as well as outpatient physical, speech and occupational therapy, will be moving from their present locations to the new center.

“The center was designed not only to provide therapy but also to teach our community about healthy lifestyles,” said Darlinda Copeland, chief operating officer for the hospital.

For reservations, call 231-2229.

State job bureaus change names

The Center of Business Excellence will now be known as CareerSource Flagler Volusia.

Across the state, 24 regional workforce organizations, the One Stop Career or Employment Centers and the state workforce board, are now operating with new brand names and logos. The purpose, according to officials, is to better align the workforce system and improve use of services.
