Bunnell resident Wray Wolk was hanging out at the White Eagle Lounge on Friday night when an unknown man walked up and socked him in the mouth. A few minutes later another man threatened to open him up with a box cutter.

Police say the man who threatened Wolk was Kennth Guarnieri, 59, and that he’d been seen talking to the man who punched Wolk earlier that evening.

Guarnieri was dating Wolk’s ex-girlfriend, according to an arrest affidavit. Witnesses told officers that Guarnieri walked up to Wolk at the lounge at about 6 p.m. Friday, Sept 13, pulled a box-cutter from his pocket, and said, “I’m going to cut your (expletive) neck.”

The police officer who arrested Guarnieri searched his clothes and found a baggie full of white powder and a four-inch straw covered in cocaine residue in his pants pocket, as well as a pill container with two oxycodone pills and two hydrocodone pills in his jacket pocket.

Guarnieri, a resident of Flagler Beach, was booked at the Flagler County jail early Friday morning on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of cocaine and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
