Flagler students share camp experience

Six Flagler County eighth-grade students were among the 40 girls chosen to attend the TECH-TREK camp held at the University of Central Florida this summer and shared their experiences at a recent American Association of University Women meeting.

Delaney Booth, Abigail Chirco, Hannah Williams and Joslyn Wilson also attended the weeklong camp, along with Kalie Januskiewicz and Elizabeth Recker. The camp included hands-on activities, interactions with role models in the science, technology, engineering and math fields, and a tour of NASA.

Teens-In-Flight will be recruiting for its flight program at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, in Hangar B at the Flagler County Aiirport. Applicants must be 15 years old and download the program admission documents at www.teens-in-flight.com. For more, call 386-569-5685.


Community Chorus calls for singers
The Community Chorus of Palm Coast invites all interested singers to its first rehearsal of the year to be held 7 p.m. Oct. 1, at the Trinity Presbyterian Church of Palm Coast, 156 N. Florida Park Drive.

Auditions will be scheduled after the rehearsal. Altos, sopranos, tenors and basses are needed.
