This weekend: Flagler Fine Arts Festival is back!

Have you missed the fine arts booths scattered throughout Veteran’s Park each month? Well don’t fret; the Flagler Fine Arts Festival is back with its first festival of the fall season 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, in Flagler Beach.

The festival features juried regional fine art, performing artists, artist demonstrations and a children’s art project sponsored by Michael’s of Palm Coast.
 

Alzheimer’s Resource Council and Visiting Angels offer free memory screening
The Alzheimer’s Resource Council, along with Visiting Angels, will offer a free memory screening 2-5 p.m. Sept. 19, at Visiting Angels, 185 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite 5.

Attendees are asked to make an appointment by calling 446-7848.

Alzheimer's disease accounts for 50 to 80 percent of dementia cases, with the majority of people diagnosed being 65 years old and older.
 

Flagler Playhouse Sets Auditions for ‘Moon Over Buffalo’
The Flagler Playhouse has scheduled auditions for “Moon Over Buffalo,” the comedy by author Ken Ludwig 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15 and Monday, Sep. 16, at 301 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell. The characters include a hostile near-deaf mother, a rebellious daughter and a pregnant ingénue.

The show will be directed by Jean Rahner.
