Man dies after falling from roof in Plantation Bay

A 43-year-old Frostproof man died Monday morning from injuries he sustained after he fell 25 feet off a roof in Plantation Bay.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office detectives said Roberto Martinez fell from the roof he was working on around 9:55 a.m., at 424 Wingspan Drive.

Martinez was transported to Florida Hospital Flagler by Flagler County emergency services, where he was pronounced dead at 11:32 a.m.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified and is investigating the incident.
