The Volusia County Sheriff's Office arrested an Ormond Beach man Tuesday on warrants, charging him with one count of sexual battery and two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation, according to an office spokesman.

Sheriff's sex crimes investigators were notified in September that Brandon Giove, 22, had engaged in sex acts and inappropriately touched two boys multiple times over the course of about six years. The activities came to light when the boys, both currently under the age of 16, told their parents who then informed police. Giove admitted the sexual activity to investigators, saying that it started when he was 16 years old.

Arrest warrants were signed on Tuesday and Giove was arrested without incident. He was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail, in Daytona Beach.

Giove worked in the toy department of a Walmart in Ormond Beach. The sheriff’s office has asked that if anyone has information about other potential victims, call 254-1537.
