Kokomo's Cafe celebrates one year in Flagler Beach

This month, Kokomo’s, the cafe owned by Southern California transplants Mark and Tina Hutsell, celebrates one year of beautiful sunrises in Flagler Beach.

Before opening Kokomo's, which was named after the Beach Boys song, Mark Hutsell had been working in Tennessee for 2.5 years, while his family lived in Palm Coast. Then, they discovered a quaint little house in Flagler Beach and knew it was the perfect location for a business. They opened the cafe, and Mark Hutsell was able to return to live with his family full time.

Now, the walls are lined with the work of local artists, and the menu features breakfast, lunch and desserts. As their business has grown in the last year, Kokomo's has quickly become a popular spot in the city.

"We have meet many wonderful people and enjoy the community and the fellowship it brings," Tina Hutsell said.
