Palm Coast will hold its annual tree lighting ceremony 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, in Central Park at Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

The tree is being decorated this year with sparkling lights and ornaments made by Girl Scouts from five local troops, and Palm Coast Mayor Jon Netts will lead the countdown to the tree lighting.

Nonperishable food and toy donations for Toys for Tots will also be accepted.

The Rotary Club's eighth-annual Fantasy Lights display at Central Park will also open Dec. 1 and remain open 6:30-9:30 p.m. through Dec. 30.

Fantasy Lights is a self-guided walking tour around Central Park, featuring 38 light displays and music.

Holiday snacks and beverages will be available for purchase, as will 3-D glasses to enhance the display.

This year, Fantasy Lights will feature a North Pole Village, Santa’s Merry Train Ride around the park (for a fee), snow in the park, a night of caroling and Santa Sundays with Mrs. Claus (Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22).

Free golf cart tours will be available for people with disabilities. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
