BREAKING: 19-year-old shot, detectives search for suspect

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a Monday evening shooting of a Palm Coast teenager. 

Shortly after 8 p.m., deputies responded to 9 Llovera Place, in Palm Coast, to investigate a report of a shooting.

Deputies arrived on scene and found Trevor Blumenfeld, 19, of Palm Coast, unresponsive.

Blumenfeld sustained a single gunshot wound. Blumenfeld was flown by FireFlight to Halifax Medical Center, in Daytona Beach, where he is currently undergoing surgery, according to Cmdr. Bob Weber, public information officer for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives have responded to the scene and are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.

At this time, it is believed that victim and the suspect may have known one another. The incident doesn’t appear to be random in nature, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

No suspect has been identified at this time.
