The student who made the threat against FPC has been discovered, according to Jacob Oliva, assistant superintendent for the school district.

Sheriff's Office detectives were able to trace the phone number used to make the threat and track down the student, Oliva said.

The student then admitted to making the call because he was upset with the school after getting into trouble, Oliva said.

Oliva wasn't aware of if any arrests were made.

Deputies are investigating a bomb threat that was made against Flagler Palm Coast High School, school officials said.

A clerical staff member who was out for three days was checking voicemails Thursday morning when they came across a message left by someone who stated they were mad at the school and were going to blow it up on Tuesday, according to Jacob Oliva, assistant superintendent of the district.

“We told the Sheriff’s Office, and they investigated that the school wasn’t in any danger and kept us at green status,” Oliva said. “They are following through with the investigation.”

After investigators determined there was no imminent threat, the school day went on as normal, Oliva added.

No arrests have been made, according to Lt. Bob Weber, public information officer for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

“It’s not funny, and it’s something that takes a lot of time and energy to investigate, so we’re asking the students to help us determine if they knew anyone who could have been associated with this prank or hoax,” Oliva said.
