This spring, Palm Coast Moose Lodge 2577 donated a box of 12 Tommy Moose dolls to bring comfort to children in times of stress, uncertainty or anxiety. According to the lodge, the doll “personifies one of the cornerstone tenants of the Loyal Order of Moose — caring for children.”
Women of The Moose, Palm Coast Chapter 2240, also donated a box of 12 coloring books and crayons to be given to these children in a crisis situation.

The numbers from the city of Palm Coast’s Arbor Day event: 2,500 participants, 170 runners, 550 trees handed out, 600 butterflies released, 1,170 pounds of donated food, $66 raised in the Flagler Youth Center sale, $190 raised for Indian Trails Middle School Support Group, $350 raised by the dunk tank and train rides for the Flagler Palm Coast High School Interact Club Polo Eradication Program.
Last month, Kim Rubino, a 2009 Legacy scholar sponsored by Palm Coast Elks Lodge 2709, helped deliver cards and cookies to the police in Boston after the marathon bombings.
Joseph Philip Vitellow, of Flagler Beach, received the bachelor of science in criminal justice on May 4 from Thomas University.
