Furniture fixtures: The Haynes Brothers

Haynes Brothers Furniture will mark its 71st anniversary next month, further establishing an industry perseverance Jason Haynes, a fourth-generation Haynes, in charge of the company’s advertising and purchasing, credits to a “conservative” approach to growth.

The company never would have made it through the recession if not for this quality, he added.

Haynes Brothers was opened by Jason Hayes’ great grandmother, who lived to be 102. The company’s “central hub,” he says, is its Ormond Beach location, at 387 S. Yonge St.

The company also now has locations in Daytona, Port Orange and Orange City, in addition to a warehouse in Daytona.

Of about 50 total employees, 12 are Hayes family members.
