Flagler Schools could be one of the only local government entities that will not raise its property taxes next year.

A proposed millage rate of $7.442 per $1,000 of taxable property value came before the Flagler County School Board Tuesday, the lowest tax rate for the school district since the 2008-2009 school year, when the millage rate was 7.31 mills.

The board will meet at 5:15 p.m. July 30 to decide on its budget and a tentative tax rate. Public comment will be heard.
