And financial activities, mining, logging, and construction, and professional and business services, gained 100 jobs each.

Government lost 600 jobs over the year.

Over the past two weeks, Campus Outreach Program volunteers, from Georgia, have assisted with edging and raking near the Hand Avenue construction area. They also conducted visitor surveys at Andy Romano Beachfront Park, as well as assisted with the city’s Independence Day celebration. Workers also trimmed and edged fields at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex, walking trails at Central Park and Riverbend Nature Park, and helped maintain the grounds at Oakridge Cemetery.
