Hammock Art Gallery to show works by local artists
The Hammock Art Gallery is displaying artwork by three local artists this month: Paula Felici, Sandra Pierce and Rachel Schiff.

Pierce graduated from Florida School of the Arts in 1982 and is a full-time artist working from her studio in the Palm Coast Hammock.

Felici has been involved in international jewelry design and manufacturing for collectors like Joan Rivers, Ivana Trump and The Museum Store, and she owns Le Cose Belle Boutique/Gallery, at 5915 N. Oceanshore in the Hammock.

Schiff worked as an interior designer in Northeast Florida for more than 25 years, then returned to painting.

She is part of the “New Nabis” painting group at the Hollingsworth Gallery.

The Hammock Art Gallery and Wine & Cheese Shoppe is located at 5368 N. Oceanshore Blvd. in Palm Coast.

Richard’s Foodporium now under new management
The Palm Coast Richard’s Foodporium was purchased by its franchisor in May and is now under new management.

The store’s new manager, Debbie Robichaud, has been in the natural food business for more than 12 years.

The roughly 2,000-square foot store offers natural, organic and gluten-free foods and vitamins.

Richard’s Foodporium is located at 236 N.E. Palm Coast Parkway in the Palm Harbor Shopping Center.

Farmer’s Market to donate Christmas tree sales to Animal Rescue
The Flagler Beach Farmer’s Market is selling Christmas trees and wreaths, and will donate 5% of its proceeds to SAFFARI Animal Rescue.

The market, at 111 S. Central Ave., in Flagler Beach, will be open seven days a week until all of the trees are sold.

Florida Hospital Flagler holds “smokeout” to encourage smokers to quit
Florida Hospital Flagler hosted events in support of the American Cancer Society’s annual Great American Smokeout Nov. 21, for those trying to quit smoking.

Hospital staff handed attendees free turkey sandwiches as they encouraged smokers to quit “cold turkey,", according to the hospital.

The American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout is held annually on the third Thursday of November.

Tobacco use is the largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the U.S., but almost one out of every five Americans still smokes cigarettes, according to a press release.
