Flagler Agricultural Museum Director Bruce Piatek receievd a severance offer from the museum's board of directors last week.

The offer listed his last day of work as Nov. 30, and includes $27,259 in severance pay to cover unused sick days and vacation, county commissioner and museum board member Nate McLaughlin said. The arrangement has not yet been finalized.

The board is searching for a new director, McLaughlin said, and hopes to find someone with the marketing and public relations skills to "take the museum to the next level." The board will discuss the search for a new director at its upcoming December meeting.
