Palm Coast is hosting an Intracoastal Waterway Cleanup event on Sept. 7 using funds from a $5,000 Florida Inland Navigation District grant. City staff is asking volunteers to help by removing trash in their developments or along city paths, walkways and waterways. Both people on foot and people in boats are needed.
Palm Coast has been hosting this cleanup event since 2008.

The event begins at 8 a.m. in Holland Park, at 18 Florida Park Drive. Volunteers will work until 12 p.m. and then return to Holland park for snacks, beverages and an award ceremony.

To pre-register, visit www.palmcoastgov.com/events/intracoastal-cleanup. Those who register can pick up their packages on Aug. 31. Packages include a T-shirt, water bottle, trash bags, gloves and a safety sheet. Same-day registration is allowed, although registering later does not guarantee package availability.
