Palm Coast United Methodist Church, at 5200 Belle Terre Parkway, observes its second Football Sunday on Aug. 25 at all three worship services, 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. The Rev. Kevin James began this tradition to celebrate the beginning of football season and the beginning of the school year.

The community is invited to attend worship and share the excitement by wearing football jerseys from their favorite teams whether high school, college or professional. Football teams and cheerleading squads from Bethune-Cookman University, Flagler Palm Coast High School and Matanzas High School have been invited to attend. As a special recognition on that Sunday, the new East Central District Superintendent of the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church, the Rev. Annette Stiles Pendergrass, will bring the message at all services, based on 1 Corinthians 9: 19-27.
