Many hands make light work, but it’s still work. Especially when you’re talking about a garden.

Thanks to the volunteers with the Palm Coast United Methodist Church’s Resource Garden Club Ministry, a some hungry people in Flagler County will have full stomachs and warm hearts.

The club harvested the garden 10 times this summer, totaling 108 pounds of fresh vegetables, including 60 pounds of tomatoes. Luzibu Nsakala and Mamie Godfrey were the leaders of the group, and they wanted to thank Lowe’s store managers John, Bill and Larry for donating the tomato and green pepper plants, as well as the soil.

Up next: preparing for spring.
