+ Palm Coast tops list of cities with declining unemployment
Palm Coast was listed as the U.S. city where unemployment has fallen the most, according to a list published Tuesday by 247WallSt.com.
Unemployment in the city, which currently sits at 10.3%, is down 2.5 percentage points from February 2013 to February 2012. The number of people employed during the same time frame grew by 7.2%, with the labor force growing by more than 4%.
Palm Coast’s unemployment rate is currently the 47th highest in the nation.
Between February 2012 and February 2013, the number of people employed in business and professional services grew by 15%, reaching a total of 2,300 employees in February. Leisure and hospitality grew 6.7% during the same time period.
+ 100 Plus raises money for Humane Society
In addition to selling houses and property, realtors at 100 Plus Realty raise money for the Flagler Humane Society. Kim Young, a realtor with the association, presented a check to Gary Langley, event committee co-chair for the Flagler Humane Society, for Gracie’s Fund, which helps pay medical bills for homeless pets with serious injuries. Flagler Humane Society houses more than 250 animals daily, many of which need medical care because of neglect, abuse and abandonment.

• Mark Hewchuk of Watson Realty Corp. received the Presidents Award in recognition of superior skills and achievement in Real Estate for 2012. He was a multi-million dollar producer with the most listings sold as well as the most closed sales in 2012 at the Flagler/Palm Coast office.
• Dan Connell was promoted to sales manager at 100 Plus Realty.
• Josh Neimark, founder of fix8 media hired James Gonzalez as graphic designer to the fix8 team.

• Coast Title hired Rose Velazquez as a contract processor.
• Realty Exchange LLC hired Carol Tunis for its sales team in both St. Johns and Flagler counties.
