Three Flagler County men were arrested Tuesday on charges of indecent exposure after Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies set up a sting operation at two locations, according to a press release.

“Our parks and trails are there for families and residents to enjoy. They should not expect to encounter deviant behavior when they are on a family outing,” Flagler County Sheriff Donald Fleming said in a statement. “We will continue these operations for as long as it takes for the word to spread: ‘Not in Flagler County.’”

Two Palm Coast men were arrested at Graham Swamp Preserve on Old Kings Road.

Deputies said in both instances, the men engaged in conversation with undercover deputies who drifted to a sexual nature. In the separate incidents, both men exposed themselves and began masturbating in front of the deputies.

A Flagler Beach man was arrested at Malacompra Park on Malacompra Road. In that incident, undercover deputies said the man engaged in conversation and the conversation turned sexual. The man then walked into the bathroom at the park, exposed himself to deputies and began masturbating.

The three arrested and charged with unnatural and lascivious acts and exposure of sexual
organs were as follows:

Gary Thompson Jr., 43, of Palm Coast.
Arthur Bellany, 59, of Palm Coast.
Vernal Arnette III, 72, of Flagler Beach.

All three were released from the Flagler County Inmate Facility after posting $2,000 bond on the charges.
