FPC team: Grand Champion at Future Problem Solvers

Another year, another pile of trophies for Flagler Palm Coast High School Future Problem Solvers.

One hundred three FPC students competed in the Florida Future Problem Solving Writing Bowl March 18 to March 21, in Orlando, and they brought home 91 ribbons and trophies, collectively.

Twenty students will advance to the international Future Problem Solvers conference in June, at Indian University, in Bloomington, Ind.

First and foremost is the BrainChild team of Community Problem Solvers, which was named Grand Champion. Also, these 14 students will advance: Kim Pereria, Daniel Kortyka, Olivia Murphy, Olga Nushtayeva, LeeAnn Spivey, Loren Smith-Anderson, Gabby Maynard, Lauren Umpenhour, Sebastian Micalizzi, Tristan Ragalia, Morgan Bertha, Forrest Mason, Alexandria Mason and Iryna Slyvka.

Freshman Rachel Secunda was the state champion Middle Division individual writing. Junior Maeve Dineen was a state champion for Senior Level Individual writing.

The state champions for Global Issues Writing Team were FPC’s Michael Safarty, Antonio Holm, Tyler Jarnagin and Daniel Gerhard.
