Seminole Woods crash: 19-year-old in serious condition

Kelani Scroggins, 19, drove off the road at 7:59 p.m. Sunday, June 3, on Seminole Woods Parkway. She is in serious condition.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol's crash report, Scroggins was traveling southwest on Seminole Woods in a 2010 Ford F-150. She drove onto the shoulder and traveled 450 feet before striking multiple trees, causing about $15,000 in damage to the truck.

She was not wearing her seat belt. Her injuries required her to be airlifted to Halifax Hospital.

The reason for her driving off the road is unknown. The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking witnesses to the crash. Call Trooper Christopher Conrad at 904-825-5080.
