Palm Coast permit fee reduction set to expire Oct. 31

The city of Palm Coast's 90% discount on building permits is set to expire Oct. 31. The city produced a flier to encourage businesses to expand or renovate now, while the discount still in place.

Home improvements such as adding office space, a pool, a shed or even building a new home are also listed.

In the week of July 19-25, applicants saved $24,291 thanks to the 90% reduction. That reduction was adopted June 16, 2009, and was renewed at the beginning of this year. The total savings since that time is $1,992,474, according to the Week in Review report issued by the city.

Since the inception of the discount, the total value of construction in the city has been $235,394,296.
