Record crowds flocked to Veterans Park Friday, July 6, for Flagler Beach’s First Friday Music in the Park event.

Musical entertainment was provided by the Navy Band: Wind Ensemble, a 40-piece group performing a variety of music ranging from traditional marches and patriotic fare to classical favorites and Broadway tunes. Also on the stage were the Navy brass band, TGIF, and the Navy rock band, Pride. Capt. Nick and Tony Neal also played on the songwriters stage.

The August First Friday will be 6-9 p.m. Aug. 3 and feature music by Native Skeeter, a county and Southern rock band from Nashville, Tenn. There will also be a dance-off and a hula hoop contest.
