Celebrating the Fabulous Fourth

With their hands behind their backs, more than 20 kids surrounded a long table and attempted to eat a giant piece of watermelon as fast as they could. It was a messy task, but a tradition at the Fabulous Fourth Festivities in Flagler Beach.

Thousands of people flocked to Flagler Beach for the annual events hosted by the Flagler Beach Chamber of Commerce and the city of Flagler Beach. This year’s festivities included a parade hosted by Flagler Beach Rotary, a cornhole competition, watermelon and hot dog eating contests, Tiny Tiki and Lil’ Kahuna, battle of the bands and a fireworks display.
