Global Missions 5K announced; registration open

Parkview Baptist Church recently announced that its Global Missions 5K Run/Walk will take place Sept. 3, at Parkview Baptist Church, 5435 Belle Terre Parkway.

The race is to support missionary teams from Parkview Baptist Church visit third world countries and to raise awareness for health and exercise in our community. The Kidz Fun Run is designed to encourage exercise and make it a healthy part of every child’s life. We want each child to leave the event feeling like a winner and sporting a medal.

The Global Missions 5K Run/Walk starts promptly at 8 a.m. and is a chip timed and certified course. There will be water stations throughout the race. The Kidz Fun Run will be held in the church parking lot at 9 a.m.

Advance registration is strongly encouraged to ensure a t-shirt. Registration is open now. The general entry fee is $25 before August 31/$30 after August 31 for the 5K Walk/Run and $10 for the Kidz Fun Run.

All registered participants will receive a t-shirt (guaranteed only if registered by Aug. 31), runner/walker number and race day bag.
